process.  Thatís why they bite you and the males donít. The females have incredibly good senses for locating you.  Mosquitoes can detect carbon dioxide that you exhale, lactic acid that your body gives off, and even sweat from 100 feet away.  

If your clothing is a different color than your surroundings, mosquitoes can find you.  They can even detect body heat.  You donít stand a chance against their bag of tricks.  

When mosquitoes bite you, you run a risk of getting West Nile Virus and other serious mosquito borne diseases.
